ERP Application Lead
Meet Our Recruiter
Amy Sheldrick
About the Role
We’re working with a UK-based engineering and manufacturing business that relies heavily on its ERP platform to support day-to-day operations.
This is a role focused on a system that is already in place and widely used across the business. It plays a critical role in supporting finance, supply chain, and operational processes.
They are now looking for someone to take ownership of that environment and ensure it continues to run effectively while being improved over time.
The Role
This position sits between IT and the wider business, with responsibility for ensuring the ERP platform remains stable, reliable, and aligned to operational needs.
You’ll be involved in shaping how the system is used, supporting improvements, and guiding how changes are delivered.
There is also a leadership element, where you will support and guide internal teams and help set standards across how the system is managed and developed.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the ERP platform across multiple areas of the business
- Ensure the system performs reliably and supports day-to-day operations
- Lead improvements and help shape how the system develops over time
- Manage upgrades, enhancements, and system changes
- Work closely with teams across finance, supply chain, and operations
- Act as a key link between technical teams and business users
- Help define and maintain governance and change control processes
- Support internal users and improve how the system is used across the business
- Coordinate with external support partners where required
What They’re Looking For
- Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
- Experience taking ownership of systems rather than purely supporting them
- Understanding of how ERP supports business processes such as finance, supply chain, or operations
- Ability to work across both technical and functional areas
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience in multi-site environments
- Exposure to system upgrades or continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience working with integrations or reporting tools
- Experience managing third-party vendors or support providers
Why This Role
This is a good opportunity for someone who has become the main ERP contact in their current role and is looking to step into a position with greater ownership and influence.
The environment is stable, but there is clear scope to improve how the system supports the business.
