UniVerse / MultiValue Contractor - Customer Integration Project (European client)

IN SHORT:  MultiValue (Universe), warehousing systems, European end-user client, contract Nov 2026 - March 2027.

We are working with a manufacturing client to find a skilled MultiValue (Universe) Contractor.

Details 

• Contract: Initially up to 6 months
• Location: Predominantly remote, UK (occasional on-site only, if required)
• Expenses: Travel/expenses on top of the agreed day rate, rather than built in
• Indicative rate: £450 - £500 per day
• Duration:  3-6 months (end March 2027)

• Key technology: Rocket UniVerse / MultiValue
• Important skill: Integration/API experience
• Existing system knowledge is highly prioritized

About the Role

Our client is planning a peak of development activity to deliver a critical integration for one of their most important customers. They need an experienced Universe Developer who can come in, get up to speed quickly, and focus on integration work between the customer and The existing Universe based systems.

You will be joining an established development group, but this engagement is specifically to provide additional capacity and expertise for this high priority piece of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop integration between a key customer system and the client's existing Universe based platform.
• Build and maintain the technical interfaces and data flows required for the customer integration.
• Work closely with the company's internal development organisation to understand priorities, existing architecture and standards.
• Take ownership of assigned integration work packages and deliver them within the agreed timeframe (aiming for readiness by March).
• Participate in discussions around approach, priorities and potential issues with the integration.
• Provide clear progress updates to the company's team and adapt to changing customer or internal priorities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience as a Universe Developer (UniVerse / MultiValue environment).
• Hands on experience with integration focused development, ideally implementing interfaces between external customer systems and an existing Universe based system.
• Proven ability to get up to speed quickly on an existing codebase and environment.
• Comfortable working largely remote, collaborating with an established development team.
• Able to work to tight timelines, with a clear focus on delivery quality and stability.

Highly Desirable

• Previous experience working with the organisation, or prior exposure to their Universe environment.
• Strong background in API / integration style projects in a Universe context.
• Experience working on time critical customer facing projects where integration reliability is business critical.

Engagement Details

• Initial requirement is for one contractor.
• Start date targeted for October / November (earlier if mutually agreed).
• Mostly remote working, with any agreed on site visits to be expensed on top of the day rate
