Job Description

Our client in Buckinghamshire is looking for an OutSystems Web Applications Developer

Role Objective:
Working on customer facing applications. You will be focused on the development of new, high quality web based business applications as well as developing functionality for existing ones. You will also bring innovative development ideas to improve the efficiency of the business through software development

Skills required in the role

  • Knowledge of web based programming languages such as OutSystems, .Net, HTML, JQuery, Java, CSS is essential
  • Experience as a proficient application programmer
  • Experience in developing enterprise software in a commercial environment is essential
  • Experience and understanding of the software development life-cycle is essential
  • Experience in creating and maintaining accurate application documentation
  • Experience of evaluating business requirements, analysing, designing and implementing quality software solutions
  • Experience with developing OutSystems

Responsibilities and accountabilities in the role

  • Evaluate, analyse, design and develop customer facing quality software solutions
  • Create solutions to increase customer engagement with applications and services
  • Create documentation for system developments i.e. end users/project managers
  • Escalate calls to other IT members when necessary
  • Manage information to meet project needs
  • Monitor and report Management Information on any IT applications within the business
  • Provide user orientation and training when required amongst the IT department
  • Log, answer, resolve and update all development related support tickets
  • Mentor other employees with the IT department in use of development languages as appropriate
  • Ensure the compliance with FCA principles "Treating Customers Fairly" (TCF) & other relevant legislative requirements
