Job Description

Our client is looking for an exceptional VP of Product and UX to lead up their Design team of over 6 talented Interaction, Industrial, Graphic, Game and Product designers.
You will lead the product vision and manage its implementation. You will be a critical member of the executive team: managing, guiding, and developing the design team with extensive amounts of executive freedom to run the teams as you see fit to encourage, motivate, and enthuse them. You will report directly to the CEO, working in symbiosis with the VP of Engineering, and in unison with the Head of Sales and Marketing.
·Have managed and grown world-class design teams for more than 5 years
·Have background in the Digital Gaming and/or Toy industry
·Have a strong understanding and sensibility to users wants, needs, and desire for delight
·Are obsessed with making experiences better and more delightful
·Are happy to sweat through the details of implementation
·Have a strong understanding of hardware, software, and retail
·Are data-driven and understand the power of working to clearly defined KPIs
·Thrive on the challenge of delivering ambitious project to tight deadlines and motivating engineering teams to perform
·Understand how to motivate and inspire individuals and groups
·Are ideally from a strong design background
·Must have strong experience of working and leading in an Agile environment
·Can easily come up with, and update, product roadmap, time lines, and updates
·Ensuring product vision is realized through technical excellence and execution
·Increasing the user-retention of the company product offering
·Managing, growing, and scaling the design team
·Iterating on development processes and inspiring a positive and effective culture - Developing and delivering the design strategy
·Working with the engineering team to build and estimate roadmap milestones
·Ensuring the company product is always the easiest, most delightful, and fun product on the market
·Measuring and reporting team performance based on team KPIs
·Constantly driving for data-driven decisions through accurate and reliable analytics
·Managing design budget
·Keeping the boat moving as fast and as smoothly as possible as we grow
