Technical Support Administrator
Network and Infrastructure Lans/Wans
CLIENT
Leading UK provider of employee benefits and insurance products is looking to employ 2x Technical Support Administrators to join their current expanding team of four staff to provide IT infrastructure Configuration and Support to both head office and regionally based offices as well as employees.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Technical experience working with complex LANS/WANS, server and desktop pc configurations in a commercial environment
- Experience in evaluating and/or recommending introduction of new technology for example servers/storage/software
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems and software
- Professional qualification in Microsoft Technology or generalist certification such as CompTIA and ITIL
ROLE
- Be technical lead of projects relating to IT network and infrastructure maintenance, upgrades and new technology implementations
- Log, answer, resolve and update all support tickets from users, recording them in the call logging system
- Manage administration of key IT systems including maintenance and support of hardware and software environment
- Install, configure and upgrade client hardware and software in line with standards
- Carry out specific tasks and take on project responsibilities as assigned
- Assist with the development of IT documentation
- Troubleshoot systems, quickly and effectively
- Build solutions to create stability and flexibility for all employees using IT services
- Provide call progress and completion updates to users
- Provide user orientation and training where required
- Be first point of contact in IT for new employees
- Escalate calls to other IT team members where necessary
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and all FCA principles, "Treating Customers Fairly" (TCF) and other relevant legislative requirements
