Our client specialises in providing IT solutions for the Travel industry. Due to expansion, they currently require an experienced Delivery Manager to work from their offices based Manchester.
This role would be ideal for someone that's looking to take the next step in their career as there is significant room for growth, and you will be given the opportunity to expand your skills and responsibilities within the first few months. The position would be a good match for someone with a Programme or Delivery Management background with a solid understanding of software delivery.
Key responsibilities:
·Direct line management of Project Managers, Business Analysts and Engineering Teams, both home and overseas, (the majority of this will be virtual management).
·Initiating and helping to shape customer and innovative R&D projects and work streams engaging with all stakeholders at the appropriate level
·Ensuring the delivery of agreed programme, project and work stream deliverables to plan and within budget
·Responsibility for customer interaction, building key stakeholder relationships by understanding customer requirements, addressing customer concerns and ensuring customer requirements are managed
Required skills and experience:
·Minimum of 5 years' experience of managing complex projects as a senior Project Manager
·A demonstrable understanding of software development methodologies
·A strong customer focus and experience in a customer-centric environment
·Experience of managing senior-level employees/teams and the ability to lead, motivate and coach individuals
·An excellent communicator of English, both written and verbal with the ability to present to high-level audiences
·Motivation and personality to drive the organisation forward and the ability to prioritise multiple activities
Please note: there will be some overseas travel with this role, approximately 4 or 5 days per month.
