PHP Developer - PHP, LAMP, CSS, SQL, JavaScript - Nottingham
A PHP Developer is being sought due to expansion, to join a successful e-commerce and web development company who build and maintain their own group of e-commerce websites. They specialise in selling industrial and business products online to businesses across the UK and Europe. They also build custom web development solutions for external clients in a number of different sectors including e-commerce, manufacturing, advertising and retail. This client offers a great working environment, great culture including working in their modern offices with high spec systems and multiple screens.
You will work in a development team of 3 on multiple projects simultaneously.
You MUST have:
·Good PHP (maintenance and development) experience preferably using a framework e.g. Symfony or Laravel
·Good knowledge of the underlying LAMP architecture and a working knowledge of LAMP server set up and maintenance
·Experience of front and back-end web development
·Prepared to learn new skills and technology
·Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of the latest web development trends and technologies Technical skills required:
·PHP using OOP (Symfony or Laravel)
·Javascript, HTML5, CSS 3 - Sass, Bootstrap
·REST
·Git version control, Agile project management
·SQL, Linux command line and configuration
Other useful skills would include: Test Driven Development; Gulp and Webpack.
·Happy to work both front and back-end development on existing and new projects across a diverse range of industries
·Working on multiple projects simultaneously
·Working within the Development team of 3 DevDeveloper / Designers, a web development manager plus E-commerce Director)
·Actively encouraged to influence the direction of and take responsibility for any assigned projects
Your main responsibilities include:
·Front and back end development of existing and new web development solutions
·Development of external customer websites e-commerce & brochure style websites
·Communicating with external clients via email/telephone and attending client project meetings
