Job Description

A Business Analyst (with strong MIFID knowledge) is being sought to work by a large organisation based in London. You will work on financial systems (back, middle and front office) alongside developers and SIT testers.

As a Business Analyst your primary role will be to aid the delivery of change into our growing business. You will achieve this by helping the business implement technology solutions.

As a Business Analyst you will be tasked with understanding and capturing business change requirements, analysing and documenting these using structured methodologies.

In addition, you will provide communication support to Technology Partners with the relevant business and delivery areas. Furthermore, you may be asked to provide extended testing capabilities during SIT, if business knowledge is required and UAT when end-user support is needed.

Skills required:

·You will have 5+years proven track record in Wealth & Investment Management.

You will be familiar with numerous structured business analysis techniques, in particular:
·UML
·MoSCoW
·Solution investigation and documenting results
·Stakeholder identification, analysis and management
·Organisation modelling, business process analysis and business change identification
·Evaluating options, preparing and presenting business cases
·Defining requirements, analysis, requirements development and modelling
You will be able to apply a number of industry standard models to present your analysis. For example:
·SWOT analysis
·Options identification
·Short-listing options
·Cost & benefit analyses
·One-to-one, One-to-Many & Many-to-Many relationships
·Use case descriptions
·Business architectures
·Decision trees
·Swim-lane diagrams
·A broad knowledge of all systems used within the company and the Wealth industry as a whole would be of great assistance in this role. Key systems:
·PULSE is the main system used by the front office. A working knowledge of its applications and processes would be advantageous although training will be given where and when appropriate.
·FISCAL is the primary source of information and we would expect the successful candidate to be crossed trained so they have a good understanding of its functionality and facilities.
·Other systems where a good understanding of the functionality and processes involved include: CORIC (document warehouse system), Proquote and Web applications.

Your role will include:
Provide effective and efficient services to users and clients, ensuring work is carried out to an acceptable standard (commensurate with normal market practices) to agreed deadlines.
· Elicit business requirements
·Facilitating requirements workshops.
·GAP analyses
·AS-IS to TO-BE process and scenario building
·Conceptual application solution design in order to produce a business architecture
·Document preparation
·Define and scope optimal solution
·Define and author structured SDLC BA documentation (e.g. requirements documents, functional specifications, end-user guides, etc.)
·Project Support
·Assist in gaining stakeholder sign-off
·Test case preparation
·Act as a conduit between the Business, Developers and Support - Knowledge transfer to the business, developers and support
·Provide solution verification during the entire SDLC, but in particular during the build and SIT cycles.
·Provide end-users support in UATs
·Post-implementation support during post-live bedding in period
·Ensure management are aware of any RAIDS in a timely manner
·Liaise with users and key suppliers as required
·Recommend any changes to or improvements in both working practices and service delivery.
