IT Service Desk, 1st Line Support - (Maternity Cover)
Salary - £16,000 - £17,000 + Extras
Level - 1st/2nd Line Support, IT Service Desk
A 1st line support technician position has arisen within a busy IT Help Desk department due to maternity leave. This could be your opportunity to join a well established market leading book production specialist, printing over 140 million books every year.
You MUST have;
· IT literate to A-level standard or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge in software and hardware support
You SHOULD ;
·Be able to work accurately under pressure
·Have excellent attention to detail
·Have clear and very good communication skills
You will report to the Service Desk Manager, your duties will be:
·Administration of the specialist factory server system
·Act as first point of contact for calls to the service desk
·Fault finding on a wide range of hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, tablets and laser scanners throughout the factory.
·Participate in departmental rota to enable the team to provide round-the-clock support, to include early shift and on-call responsibilities periodically.
There is an additional rate of pay for covering on call and also extra money paid out for individual call outs.
