Embedded Software Engineer - Berkshire
The Company
The client acquires improved sensor and instrument performance by modelling instruments and sensors to develop appropriate system signal processing chains.
This is a research and development company specialising in the areas of sensors and instruments with industrial and academic expertise in electronic and mechanical engineering and embedded software development.

The Role
You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, allowing you the opportunity to develop your technical skills in different areas.
This is a research and development role which requires carrying out technical analysis of engineering options using simulation, test or design data to draw clear conclusions and make recommendations to other engineers, management and clients. You will use the latest C++ standards and development environments and will actively participate in all aspects of the development life-cycle (requirements, architecture, design, coding and verification).
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, a fast learner and able to work in a fluid environment with complex requirements.
Essential Attributes
·C++ development experience (from university/hobby projects)
·Experience of embedded level development
·Familiarity of Linux/Unix and Windows
·Knowledge of scripting languages such as Tcl, Python
·Excellent oral and written communication skills
·Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Maths, or similar (2.1 or higher)

·Experience of developing cross-platform applications
·Exposure to Verilog/VHDL
·Exposure to FPGA architectures and flows
