Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager you will be tasked to design, develop and support tools for the business that will aid in decision support, process and efficiency improvement, and customer satisfaction.
By understanding the business, you will gather customer requirements and translate them into solution specifications and develop the resulting solutions. In addition to handling incoming requests, proactively identify risks and opportunities within the data and communicate findings to the business using the appropriate medium.
Key responsibilities will be to:
·Gather Customer requirements from key stakeholders
·Create technical documentation, including specifications, test plans and final solution documentation
·Develop BI solutions in line with specification
·Identify gaps in the current BI portfolio and make proposals within the team and the business
·Implement and monitor trend analysis
·Improve efficiencies on operational activities by designing, developing and delivering effective BI
·Regularly communicate progress and recommendation4
·Excellent communication and presentation skills
·Ability to interrogate and analyse large data sets
·Advanced use of Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
·Advanced Excel, ideally to include VBA
·Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
·Create plans and recommendations to present to the customer
·Ability to accurately estimate the time and effort involved in tasks
·Excellent time management
·Experience of working within a Logistics, Supply Chain, FMCG or Retail environment.
·ITIL or agile methodologies.
·Understanding of Kimball data warehousing methodology.
·Advanced user in at least one of the company's core business applications; SMART, Red Prairie, SWMS, WCS, SMART T&A, Universe
·Understanding of the company's operations
