Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong IT Support background to join an established distributor based in Surrey. The role is extremely varied and requires someone with previous experience of handling 2nd and 3rd line support issues. Some management or team leading skills are also required.

The ideal candidate should have at least two years' IT Support experience, excellent analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving coupled with first class customer service skills.

Required skills:
·At least 2 years' experience of working in a 2nd / 3rd line support role
·Desktop and Server support experience
·Good knowledge of Windows XP, MS Office 2007-2013, MS 365, MS Server 2000
·Strong experience in UNIX, Linux and VMWare
·Experienced in resolving network problems
·Experience of working with 4GL databases
·Strong customer service skills
·Excellent problem solving skills
·Team payer with some management or team leading skills

Desired skills:
·IIS (Internet Information Services)
·Any experience of Progress 4GL / OpenEdge ABL

Although based in Weybridge, this position will also involve some travel to other sites and there may also be an opportunity for some home working.
