"To App or Not To App" and How to App?

Could an App designed for use either internally or for your business partners and customers really add value to your business?  This is a common question a lot of companies ask themselves these days.  More and more companies now believe that having the "right app" can bring value to a business.  However, sometimes that value can be diminished by the cost and scale of the project.  BlueFinity believe that they have the solution – especially for businesses with MultiValue databases.

BlueFinity's Solution

BlueFinity believes it has the answer. It has a 4-pronged approach to help clients achieve their App creation.

When I asked Malcolm Carroll, Director at BlueFinity why the 4-pronged approach, he said, “The challenge for companies is that once they have evaluated and selected their chosen platform, there is the actual development process to consider. User training must always be provided, but we think that it is so important to go further.

“We help with the integration of the app builder into our customer’s existing systems environment and then continue to support the developer throughout the app creation process. Even seemingly incidental questions can be answered and functionality explained. Although we provide online user assistance and comprehensive context-sensitive help screens, sometimes customers just need to talk to someone who can help with their specific requirements or obstacles.”

#1 Prong: Evoke Rapid App Development platform – Evoke is a low-code / no-code Rapid App Development Platform which provides for fast start-up as well as unlimited customisation and growth potential.  It allows businesses to design, develop and deploy adaptive business apps across multiple mobile and desktop devices using a company’s existing in-house skills and expertise, in a fraction of the time and cost of traditional methods.

#2 Prong:  Evoke Premium Support – This package gives Evoke’s clients a comprehensive range of assistance sessions, which are designed to take a new Evoke user from the initial installation of the Evoke Developer through to the successful deployment of their first live app. This starts with an Environment Review, to make sure the app can access the chosen database(s) and that it works properly on the chosen computer and there is nothing to hinder the development.

#3 Prong:  Live Person User Training – also part of the package to guide users through the creation of the first few screens and functions of the app. This support only finishes when an app is ready to be deployed. Underlying this support is a comprehensive, context-sensitive user help system, written in plain English, that provides advice and guidance for users at every stage.

#4 Prong: On-Call Support – There is also on-call support, with experts from BlueFinity available to answer questions about Evoke’s capabilities and techniques, helping users gain a full understanding of features and options.  Finally, as their experience level grows and they continue to develop apps, App Reviews are provided to help with design, optimization, use of advanced features, etc.

The Costings

BlueFinity further supports customers by offering value-based pricing. The developer license (which comprises everything customers need to create apps) is available at a nominal fee. Subscription fees are only payable when the app is deployed ‘live’, and when the client obtains actual value. The Premium Support Package is included in the cost of the Evoke Developer License.

Carroll adds, “This approach to pricing and support sends a clear message to our customers and partners that we have a shared interest in the deployment of successful apps. We are as committed to this being a success for them as they are, and testament to this is our ever-increasing number of clients and live apps created by Evoke.”
