During my recent trip to Australia, I met up again with Peter Anderson from Harvard Consulting Group, Australia. Peter and I go back to 1989, we met when I was sent to Australia to find MultiValue candidates for a UK client. I met with many agents during that first visit in 1989 but it was Peter Anderson who impressed me most with his market knowledge and blunt honesty. It was a bit like looking in the mirror ! Peter and I have enjoyed a great business relationship since those early days.
We met up periodically - whenever we're on the same continent. This time was no different. We had our chats and enjoyed each others company whilst taking in a variety of local scenery. (OK in the vein of blunt honesty - a whole trail of drinking and eating establishments !). We had a little marathon - only a 13 hour jaunt. We definitely didn't suffer dehydration during that time.
Towards the end of our time together, we decided (wisely or not) to have a "friendly competition". So, best laid plans on a beer mat or 10 ! We have decided to have a little Head to Head competition. So, we set the parameters and the scoring system and we are now going to have a little Recuriters Battle of the next 8 weeks. It is a Head to Head so a 1 on 1 rather than business to business.
So we are battling each other PLUS we have the pre-defined goals of a minimum target and the high target aim. Enjoy watching us battle it out. Chart updates will be posted weekly.
