Carry on Up (up and away!) at the NORAs

FeaturingProspectus IT Recruitment and  Volcanic (oh and a bunch of Broadbean balloons !)

Prospectus IT Recruitment was very proud to be selected as a finalist in the 2012 NORAs  in the category of "Best Small Recruitment Agency website".

After months of working very hard on design and content of our new website with the fantastic and very patient technical team at Volcanic, we were delighted with the end result. Volcanic have been fantastic as they truly understand  websites, design, technology, recruitment, mobile, social and Elkie Holland !

Sadly, we didn't win this category. Congratulations go to Dylan with their winning site. However, "not winning" didn't dampen our spirits too much and in true Prospectus style we managed to wipe away a tear and party on until the small hours. (In our minds, we still had something to celebrate, our wonderful new website and partnership with Volcanic who came down from Manchester to celebrate with us).

The NORAs was held at SWAY in London and was sponsored by Bullhorn Reach, EvenbaseCVLibrary, ACTonomy, Monster, UKRecruiter, LinkedIn and Broadbean.

Broadbean also provided some wonderful helium filled balloons which gave us immense entertainment both during the event and afterwards. Share some of celebrations from "Carry on Up at the NORAs".
Things we learn from the evening and video above are:

  • Never go to the loo leaving your handbag in the care of your boss and techies who decided to see how many balloons it would take to "UP" the handbag. (Answer = about 40).
  • If your handbag is attached to 40 helium balloons, you've got more to worry about than just bagnappers as you walk along.
  • Never daunted and even under the influence of a little alcohol, Prospectus apply their unique and well-known outside the box thinking to the problem of transport of how do you get home with 40 helium balloons tied to a handbag.
  • If your friend and work colleague is disappearing in a tuc tuc, take the tuc tuc behind rather than trying to run in heels !

It was a great night.
