Rocket Software ... Get Involved !

Published about 9 years ago by Elkie Holland
During the UK U2 University, Susie Siegesmund spent some time talking about how RocketU2 work with their customers to help them provide what is wanted. She spent some time going through the Early Adopter and Beta Programs and the new Focus groups. Both Early Adopters and Beta Testers help improve the product quality and Rocket is grateful to all those who participate. Participants also benefit by being able to work with new features and therefore be able to roll out updates based on these as soon as the final product is released.

Early Adopter Program (EAP)
  • Multiple drops.
  • Feedback at this stage allows for features to be modified and included.
  • Individuals can help shape the products
This program occurs before code freeze.

Beta Program
  • This program is after code freeze
  • Particpants help ensure that the new features work with no regressions.

Focus Groups
These are new for this 2012. The aim of these groups is to assist in planning specific new features / enhancement by looking at new commands and functionality required on a per product basis.

How to get involved
Calls for EAP, Betas and Focus Group volunteers are put out in the U2 Newsflashes and there is a process to sign up to participate.
