We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join an expanding company based in the South East. You will be joining a business-critical department where the environment is full of variety and change. The position would suit an enthusiastic, self-confident individual that is looking for a fulfilling and challenging role and is prepared to work within the parameters of the organisation and a structured ISO-9001 Business Management System.
Key role responsibilities include:
·Day to day monitoring and maintenance of the IT infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime of all systems and services to all users and stakeholders.
·Monitoring and maintenance of all IT systems including servers, e-Mail Services, Storage Servers, Databases (Microsoft SQL), ERP (Epicor Vantage V8), Telephony System, Internet Connectivity, IT Security, 50+ desktop/laptop clients (Windows/MS office based), Engineering Packages (Solidworks, EPDM Document Management).
·Maintenance of the communications network based on wired and Wireless LAN throughout the facility, with review and update as appropriate to support growing business needs.
·Dealing with internal customer Help-desk requests in accordance with SLA's and escalating where necessary.
·Management of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
·Provision and configuration of mobile telephones from the company pool as required.
Required skills and experience:
·Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, ideally working with an ERP package, generating reports in Crystal and/or SQL. Experience with Epicor Vantage and Corvu would be an advantage.
·Experience in setting up and management of Server Level software (Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016, Internet Information Services (IIS), Hyper V, Exchange Server, SQL Server)
·Experience with Linux (e.g. Ubuntu, CentOS) would be an advantage
·Microsoft SQL Server, with a sound degree of technical knowledge including troubleshooting, running queries, reports generation.
·Experience of application and web development would be an advantage.
·Experience with DISM and Microsoft image deployment tools would be an advantage.
·Experience of working in a professional and structured methodology, ideally aligned to the ISO9001 standard.
·A minimum of 2 years practical experience in a Windows based IT environment
·Recognised formal qualification in Computing or Technical/IT related subjects with evidence of continuous on-going training and education would be an advantage.
·Technically well updated and connected to current computing technologies.
·Experienced in safeguarding ITC business continuity.
·Always works with a planned, data driven, methodical approach.
·A friendly approach and the ability to influence and persuade others
