1 Personal Notes - Do this whilst the interview is still fresh in your mind. Keep these full and very honest. These are for your reference only and can be useful if you go back for 2nd stage interview. You should include information and thoughts on :
- The Company
- The role
- Logistics
- Career progression - skills / experience to gain
- Advantages of the role eg work-life balance, career ladder, challenge, money and benefits, experiences.

This is important for a number of reasons:
- It is polite and shows good communication skills. Candidates with good qualities do stick in a Recruiters mind.
- Recruiters love proactive and responsive candidates.
- Our Recruiters are actually interested in YOU !
- A great opportunity to clarify your interest and remind the Recruiter of your strengths for the role and cover any weaknesses which might have been uncovered during the interview.
Most recruiters like to know the following sorts of things:
- Location - How was the journey and did you get there ok ?
- Company - overall impression of the organisation. Is it going places and would you like to work there.
- The Interviewer - any comments about the interviewer and/or people you met.
- Role - how did they describe the role ? Did it match the job specification ?
- Questions - any additional questions you might have ?
- Moving forwards - Did the company tell you what you might expect ? Do you wish to continue with pursuing this role ?
