Infographics are very trendy at the moment. Quite often filled with many statistics but one of the best infographics I’ve seen and enjoyed hit my radar quite some considerable time ago. Over a decade ago, Dawn Wolthuis of Tincat Group put together an infographic on the roots of the MultiValue technology. Dawn researched and documented the MultiValue Family Tree. It shows the roots of the technology back to the 1960s. So, whether you’re into genealogy of technology or just interested in the roots of MultiValue systems or if you just wish to reminisce, then enjoy this Infographic. Start back in the 1960′s ! Mark and myself eventually decided to name a date far enough away, and chose a place that was hopefully fairly central. ELKIE How was the concept received ? ROGER: Once we’d settled on … Continue reading
I am often asked about living and working in Australia and what opportunities there may be out there for candidates with MultiValue skills. Whilst I am more than happy to handle roles both in the UK and Australia, it is often better for candidates who do wish to work in this county to go direct to Australian recruitment companies, which is why I would like to recommend 2 agents whom I have had some good dealings with in the past: Harry Fatakia of CompuTracts Pty Ltd Peter Anderson of Harvard Australia Pty Ltd Both these agents have always been very responsive and given honest and straight talking feedback. Here are their … Continue reading

This is great news but unless you actually know how to listen and also make yourself heard, it can be a pretty pointless exercise. Images which come to mind are: • Shouting into the wind and hoping someone hears you. • Trying to listen to every single TV and Radio … Continue reading
