They felt these had been designed to make applications and
data more useful and thereby enriching the value of business
solutions. Each new feature was explained and

Introduction to XDMS
XDMS,
another product within the TigerLogic portfolio was introduced and

MultiValue data was exposed
and processed as XML enabling integration of multivalue data with
other data sources including JDBC, JMS, Web Services, File System
Data and Web Content. They
demonstrated how to build a data cache for multi-value data with
time-to-live policies. Caching can be used to
provide a multi-value data cache or a data integration cache, which
can be used to improve overall performance.
It was also shown how to
directly link a Pick Basic Subroutine to a Web service and easily
deploy it. The Tigerlogic XDMS XQuery engine was also
demonstrated to retrieve multi-value data and return if via a Web
service.

Throughout the day the
TigerLogic staff were actively listening for feedback from the
attendees. Attendees included people from
software houses and end users and were a cross between management
and technical. Feedback and questions was
welcomed in sessions and on a 1-to-1 basis.
The things which seemed to
generate the most excitement were:
| « | HotBackup |
| « | .Net and Java API |
| « | The GUI Dashboard
which looks very promising and it was heard it would help
“sell” applications ! |
From the day, it would
definitely appear that TigerLogic do wish to have a closer
relationship with its community and that more enhancements are on
their way too.
If you have questions,
feedback or suggestions for enhancements then
Mark Morley, UK Customer Service Manager, would love to hear
